Technical Specialist

The Technical Specialist is an integral part of our customer support team and NOC operations.  Beyond support, this position can participate in project implementations and consultative work allowing for both professional growth and days that are never boring!

This position provides direct support (both remote and onsite) of the company’s customers and their employees for any and all matters related to their technology needs. This typically includes desktop and server support for both PC and MAC environments, but can also involve other areas of technology such as voice/telecom, networking, firewalls line of business applications and more. This position will work within a team possessing a diverse skillset and can rely on a collaborative approach to problem solving when needed. 

In addition, this position will share in project-based implementations and upgrades, so knowledge of standard upgrade and documentation best practices are a significant plus.

The ideal candidate should possess superlative customer service skills in a multi-customer scenario. Previous experience in an IT service provider environment is strongly preferred. The candidate should be proficient in modern windows operating systems, MS Office products and other typical office software and how they operate in a standards based Windows domain with group policies. A candidate with a multi-disciplinary background that spans multiple projects in servers, networking and other technology areas will be especially suited to the diverse needs of our customer base.

A 4 year degree or equivalent experience required.  At least one technical certification is required such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, A+, Network+ or other related technical certification.

Office / Support Coordinator

The Office/Support Coordinator coordinates the front-line communications with our customers, ensuring that communciation is continuous and always with the correct resource.  The Coordinator also creates or updates various tickets in our PSA tracking system and dispatches work to the most proper and available resource within our customer support department.   The position monitors all open tickets to ensure timely resolution and eliminate any ‘stale’ or ‘forgotten’ actions or tickets.  The overall goal is to minimize the amount of time any ticket takes for resolution, improve customer service scores, and maximize the amount of client productive time spent by each of our customer support technicians and engineers.

In addition to the Support Coordination, the position also will assist with the coordination of the physical office, to include answering, filtering and dispatching administrative and sales related calls, ordering supplies, and enhancing customer service and other office related procedures.

This position is listed as Full Time, however can also be performed by a part time candidate if flexibility is desired.  DLC offers a flexible work schedule for this position, which can be discussed during the recruiting process.  Please include salary requirements and any schedule requirements in your application submission.
